The NEW Independent News is a true community newspaper, providing information about events, people and activities in Eagle and Star, Idaho. Beginning in 2005 with the Star Independent newspaper and adding the Eagle Independent newspaper in 2007, residents in those communities have enjoyed receiving their local newspapers with news about their towns. Now, the two newspapers have merged.
The Independent News has the largest FREE direct mail distribution of any publication in Western Ada County! 13,000 copies mailed direct to all of Eagle and Star, with another 2,000 distributed in West Boise and North Meridian. The newspaper is published monthly and mailed direct to residents and businesses free of charge. Use the Advertising tab above for more information.
